Cable vs Sling TV – Sling TV With The Knockout
Hey everyone, Jonathan here.
From time to time here at “The Stoop” we like to write some pieces on things we feel passionate about.
Today, I wrote a piece on how to save you money by taking your cable bill, burning it, saving $100+ a month and still being able to watch most of the channels thanks to Sling TV.
Listen, we are mostly all in the same boat. We don’t make enough money, its hard to get by, and there are very few things in life you have after you get home from a hard day of work. Most people like to sit on the couch, decompress and watch a little bit of television. Whether it’s sports, your favorite television show or a movie, we all do it. But the cost of cable is just atrocious these days.
Seriously, its way out of hand.
We were spending over $250 a month for cable/phone/internet and we only had two cable boxes in the house. Enough was enough.
I was hearing/reading a lot about Sling TV and decided to take the leap. We cut our cable (kept our internet) and the package went down to about $120 a month. Drastic savings already.
Sling goes for $20 a month for their main package and I figured it was most of the channels I already watched. We ordered it and I haven’t missed cable once!
Yes, I miss a couple of different channels like TLC and NBATV but I haven’t actually missed my cable service, and I definitely haven’t missed the bill.
We get the basic channels for free over the air with a simple digital antenna that was $20 and we get a package consisting of ESPN, TNT, TBS, El Rey, HGTV, Food Network, CNN, etc. for $20 a month. Plus they have some add ons if you would like HBO, etc.
So today, I implore you, save your money and check out Sling TV.
It’s worth it!
*** Note: We are in no way affiliated with Sling TV and they do not endorse us (although that would be VERY cool to be a part of the Sling TV family, so if Sling TV would like to bring us on board, drop me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.). We are just fans of the service and are actual customers.
